Legacy Heirloom Map
This Montana property map painting isn’t just an ordinary legacy heirloom map, it’s a LEGACY HEIRLOOM map on steroids! Thousands of square miles of Montana woods, countless houses and buildings, and many memories to capture. I started the process by flying across the country and spending four days on this incredible property- sketching, photographing, and soaking in every last detail. I came back with a to-scale sketch, ready to dip my paints into the water. Slowly, I transformed a blank piece of paper into something very special.
Heirloom Maps
I call these maps “heirlooms” because I like to capture not just the natural beauty of the space, but also the life within it. The meaningful moments between people, the memories that make it extra special. This watercolor property map sits at 40″ X 60″ and truly includes all the incredible details this property had to offer. Lucky for me, I’m a bit of a nut for little details, so there were a TON that made it into this painting.

The process of creation one of these maps is fun, heart-warming, meaningful, and inspiring. The custom maps can be made in a variety of sizes, from 22″ x 30″ all the way to 40″ x 60″. My hope is that they’ll capture the hearts of your entire family and become an heirloom that is passed down generations.
Who is the map for?

How long does the process take?
Typically, I complete the painting within 4-7 months, depending on my current schedule and the time of the year.
When do you travel to visit properties?
I prefer to travel in the warmer months of the year (May-October) when nature is at its best and I can highlight its beauty into the painting.
Can I get a digital or a physical copy of the painting?
Yes! The original painting can be art captured and digitized. We can further resize the digital file and print as many copies as you need. (Both smaller and larger). You will always get the original painting as well.
