SALT RIM FLOWER POT DIY

Margarita-inspired flower pot

Bartending + Gardening = Gartending (Margarita Salt Rim Flower Pot)

Although it’s been a while since I have made a cocktail (during my short-lived stint as a bartender), I have decided to dip my toe in the bartending craft one more time- well, without the liquor, though. Bartenders make salt rim on margaritas by rubbing the rim with a piece of lemon and then dipping it in salt. I replaced lemon juice with a bit of acrylic paint. It’s important to add the salt while the paint is still wet. This pot looks awesome, but it’s not very durable, so here are a few notes on how to keep this cool flower pot as pretty as long as possible: First, keep the pot indoors- rain will wash off the salt. Also, be careful when watering, so you don’t wash the salt off. If you prefer, you can even replace salt with white sand.

Ready to experiment with gartending? Happy creating! Xoxo, Marketa
