Burgundy gold foil invitations with NYC wedding map

Nicole & Andres: Burgundy gold foil invitations with NYC wedding map

The theme: Florals and New York City were the two themes that met in this wedding invitation suite. Far from traditional, this couple definitely wanted to impress their guests with creativity! While the main invitation was more on the classic side with a blush ombre watercolor brushstroke, there were a ton of bold elements- like gold foil florals and a handpainted NYC wedding map as an extra card for the guests to enjoy!

The colors: The bride’s color palette was burgundy, blush pink, and gold- so those three colors became the basis for this invitation suite. We kept the main invitation simple and elegant with blush pink ombre watercolor brushstroke, and a mix of pink and gold florals. The back of the invite was more dramatic with pink, burgundy, and more gold foil.

The NYC wedding map: One of my favorite elements of this suite was the handpainted watercolor map of New York City. The bride shared the most important landmarks of her wedding and her love story with her guests through this map. I painted their wedding location (The Foundry), the famous Brooklyn Bridge, their fancy New York apartment building, and places where they met and fell in love. Painting that map was SO fun!
